School group tours typically include discussion of topics such as the state mission for hatcheries and the importance of hatcheries in Colorado, fish biology, fish habitat, and good environmental stewardship.     

 

To inquire about scheduling, please call the hatchery at 970-625-1865. At least a two weeks advance notice is needed and the further in advance arrangement can be made the better as this help ensure the hatchery has sufficient staff and educational materials on hand. The best time to schedule a tour is March-November on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
