An evening with Edith Teter Elementary
What an AWESOME evening we had in Fairplay!
About 175 people wandered the halls for Edith Teter's first Family Nature Night ever! The snow did not deter these eager families from all the excitement!
Families were entertained by the numerous activities to choose from. Between our partners and the activities in the gym, the evening was jam-packed with outdoor family fun.
Guidestone CO shared awesome artifacts from early Colorado, and discussed the importance of farming!
The Keystone Science School is an amazing organization aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and outdoor exploration. Students absolutely loved the rocks and minerals they brought!
The U.S. Forest Service discussed tree rings and how they indicate years of age. Some trees in your backyard can be hundreds of years old and you may not know it!
At 6pm, everyone gathered into the cafetorium for our raffle! Congratulations to the prize winners!
A special thank you goes out to the staff at Edith Teter who helped organize the event, and even helped out with some activities! You are greatly appreciated!
We can't wait til next year for another amazing Family Nature Night!
