We offer a variety of resources for SOLE teachers and students to support environmental education and Colorado history. For in-person SOLE programs, see the Program Options page. For events, including teacher workshops, see the Professional Development page.
Note: all of the resources and activities below can be accessed whether you are teaching in-person or online.

Art Contest - for 4th and 5th grade students with the chance to be featured in our annual SOLE calendar and the opportunity to win prizes. Artwork must be received by our office by March 29th, 2021!

Colorado Critter Challenge- March Madness style bracket game tied to 4th grade life science standards, with classrooms around the state competing against each other. Deadline to register of Feb 17th, 2021!

CPW Teacher Resources - trainings and educational resources for Colorado teachers, options vary from year to year.

Virtual In Class Programs - our standards-based, interactive programs held over Zoom. Programs are typically 45 minutes long and we ask for at least two weeks notice.

Animal Adaptations HyperDoc (Español) - an interactive online resource following the 5E Model to support students in an inquiry-based, student-centered lesson - can be facilitated remotely or in-person.

Colorado's Wildlife Company Archived Digital Library - an archive of Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW) quarterly publications from 1989 to 2008.

History Happened - this history series consists of recorded videos and live, interactive programs, each focusing on Colorado's history through the lens of a different wildlife or natural resource.

Nature Exploration Journal (Español) - a free, downloadable activity journal designed for students and families.

Wild Classroom - a video and curriculum-based activity series which explore Colorado wildlife, ecosystems, backyard science, and our state parks and fish hatcheries. See below for the current videos and activities!
